Fashion | If money weren't an issue we'd be buying…

The long winter nights are officially upon us, meaning copious amounts of marshmallowed hot chocolates, an extra pair of socks with your winter boots, and of course that seasonal wardrobe consisting of 50 different shades of black and burgundy. We’re waving goodbye to freshly pedicured toenails and pretty sandals as we bury our feet in knee-high boots and durable wellies for yet another six months.

However, winter doesn’t have to mean the beginning of freezing nights in our student houses and the reappearance of that decade-old woolly hat. Inject a bit of leopard print punch into your monotonous winter wardrobe with these seriously chic calf-skin boots by Miu Miu at £645. Made with printed calf hair and a heel which you won’t break your neck in, these boots are the wake-up call your black jeans need to brighten up even the wettest winter days. High street retailers are going mad for fur and calf hair this year, giving them a prime place on the fashion map alongside biker boots, tartan and of course, the boyfriend coat. Prints are also set to be huge this winter with top designers such as Burberry and Tom Ford all jumping on the leopard printed bandwagon, incorporating the animalistic spots into everything from sexy pencil skirts to cosy beanies.

So, a boot which ticks numerous trend boxes and gives your feet some serious style cred – what’s not to love? Unfortunately, we’ll have to leave it to Miss Moss to rock this trend as the £645 price tag would leave us homeless for the rest of the year. That doesn’t stop us from drooling all over our laptop screens. and cheekily putting them on our Christmas lists.
