Co ords are statement pieces in themselves but you don’t have to be flamboyant and edgy in order to pull them off. This trend has been carried from Summer to Autumn and straight from the catwalk and into high street stores. All of the major designers are loving Co ords and the high street such as Topshop, Asos and River Island are producing their own take on this trend, making high quality pieces available and affordable to the public.
My first favorite Co ordinate piece is from Topshop (the cow printed top and bottoms), with the shirt costing £38 and the woven joggers costing £35. The monochrome animal cow print is bang on trend for this season and the design is sleek and stylish. This outfit would look perfect with a pair of court shoes, a thick gold chained necklace to add a dash of colour and a top knot bun, which would be perfect for going out.
A second Co ord outfit I found was from River island(green tapestry cropped top), this outfit is really versatile and could be worn every day or be dressed up for going out. The top costs £45 and the skirt costs £50. This outfit may not may to everyone’s taste but is is easily wearable and would look amazing on. For the day time you could pair it with some black thick tights, brogues and a light brown or cream pea coat. For the night time you could swap the tights and brogues for some light coloured frilly socks and heels, with a dressy clutch bag.
Finally if you’re looking to make less of a statement but still want to wear a Co ord I’ve chosen a plain and simple suit from Asos, in which you can either mix and match a slim longline blazer with trousers or shorts. The blazer itself costs £45 and the shorts and trousers both costing £25, so it’s really up to you which you feel you’d be most comfortable in. Personally I would pair these outfits with a sheer black camisole and either a black wedge or court shoe. Add a statement necklace to your outfit to make you stand out.
The great thing about Co Ord’s is as stand alone pieces they look great, but they are also indispensable to have in your wardrobe, they are timeless pieces and can be mixed and matched with anything you own to create a number of various looks
