Post War Glamour Girls – 4.30 pm @ Leeds Uni ‘Stylus’

Homegrown Leeds art-rockers Post War Glamour Girls are certainly not ones to be missed this weekend as they play a mid-afternoon slot at the University’s Stylus venue.

crookes

The Crookes – 6pm @ The Cockpit

Self-declared ‘new-pop’ northerners The Crookes have quite the accolade with radio plays, a collaboration with fellow Steel City musician Richard Hawley and modelling under their belts. The Crookes’ set at The Cockpit is sure to be one of the weekend’s musical highlights.

You can listen to ‘Bear’s Blood’ by The Crookes HERE.

Lulu James – 8pm @ The Favershamlulu

It’s easy to see how Lulu James has had such a successful run as the support act on Jessie Ware’s latest UK tour. With layered soundscapes and dubstep-inspired musical experimentation, Lulu James’ commanding on-stage presence will wow the crowd at The Faversham.

You can listen to ‘Closer’ by Lulu James HERE.

manlike

Man Like Me – 9pm @ The Faversham

Perhaps best known as the band behind the swedish-furniture-version of ‘You’ll Always Find Me in the Kitchen at Parties’, Man Like Me’s sound is reminiscent of The Streets’, so its no surprise that the trio are signed to Mike Skinner’s label.

melody

Melody’s Echo Chamber – 11pm @ Nation of Shopkeepers

Even if you don’t plan to spend the day at Nation of Shopkeepers, washing their gourmet burgers down with fruit bear, the enchanting sound of Melody’s Echo Chamber is sure to grab your attention. With Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker producing, Melody Prochet’s psychy sound will provide the perfect ending to the day.
