Three people have become victims of attempted robberies in Headingley.
All three incidents took place within twenty minutes last night, between 7.10pm and 7.30pm in the Wood Lane area.
One victim is believed to have been a student. Another 31-year-old man had his mobile phone stolen.
Two sixteen-year-old males have been arrested in connection with the incidents, and are currently in custody.
A third year English student who lives on Wood Lane told Leeds Student:
“I felt really intimidated but hardly surprised. I’ve never felt particularly safe walking down Wood Lane – it’s badly lit and quite vulnerable. I hope, as a result of these muggings, the Council look at making it a safer place.”
