The lead singer of one of Leeds’ most famous musical exports Kaiser Chiefs took to twitter to express his anger over the announcement that Bruce Springsteen will also be performing at the new Leeds Arena (due to open later this year).

Ricky Wilson said he was ‘really fucked off’ after a booking mishap has meant that Bruce Springsteen will now be performing in Leeds ahead of their September ‘opening’ show.

In a tweet that has since been deleted from Wilson’s twitter page, the singer said he was “Really f**cked off with @leeds_arena. They asked us to open the thing then put Elton on the week before and now Bruce.”

Bruce Springsteen’s Leeds gig will be part of his Wrecking Ball tour which will see him perform other shows including Glasgow, Coventry, Belfast and Wembley Stadium. Tickets for the gig will go on sale at 9am this Friday priced at £65.
