The Sartorialist: Closer, Scott Schuman
The original street style photographer, Shuman’s second book revisits global style and originality. Reading like a picture book of the well-dressed, The Sartorialist: Closer is a bookshelf must-have as a reference guide for those all to frequent ‘what the hell should I wear” days.

Opening Ceremony, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon
The ultimate book for the ultimate conceptual store, Opening Ceremony documents the evolution of New York’s favourite Soho store. Written by shop founders Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (who have since moved on to head super-cool brand Kenzo), the book uncovers the store-come-gallery-come-showroom’s enviable rise to success. Linked to the likes of Comme des Garcons, Rodarte and Kenzo and having in-house collections designed by downtown cool girl, Chloe Sevigny, Opening Ceremony has come along way since conception in 2002. With a showroom in New York, a store in Japan and a pop-up in London, this is a necessary read for the travelled fashionista.

Cycle Style, Horst A. Friedrichs (Prestel)
In case you didn’t know, bicycles were chic these days, and in Friedrich’s book, they’re the accessory of choice. From casual, practical ensembles, to questionable stiletto options, Cycle Style presents an array of outfit ensembles from the world’s chicest cyclists.

Style Feed, William Oliver and Susie Bubble (Prestel)
Way back when, the term ‘fashion blog’ defined something new and unique. Now, the World Wide Web is saturated with so many of the same ‘unique’ blogs, personal style sites and regenerated content, we wouldn’t blame you for giving the blogosphere a brush off. That said, have faith, there is hope! Style Feed separates the good from the bad, the different from the dull, and points you to the ones worth following. Edited by Susie Bubble and William Oliver, longterm contributor to Dazed & Confused and AnOther, Style Feed showcases the world’s best blogs, comprised of luxury ones, budget ones and DIY idea ones. Featuring your favourites, such as Tavi Gevinson of Style Rookie, Fred Butler Style, Disney Roller Girl, Facehunter, Hypebeast and the Man Repeller, Style Feed is defined as a “unique journey”, presenting the evolving style and inspiration of each individual blogger. Happy WWW-discovery!

Rookie Yearbook One, Tavi Gevinson
Fashion bloggers everywhere remain perplexed as to how little Tavi Gevinson appears to have it all: unique style, charisma, perfect prose. Not content with her globally famed blog, her New York Times profile, her ranking on Forbes’ ‘Under 30’, or her role as Rodarte’s muse, 2012 saw the publication of her very own book. Rookie Yearbook One is an elaborated print edition of her blog, bursting with content, contributors and exciting illustrations. Exploring fashion, culture, art and feminism, Tavi Gevinson has been hailed as “the future of journalism”. With words from the likes of Zooey Deschanel, Paul Rudd, Lena Dunham, Amy Poehler and so on, and each page turn doubling as an artwork, this book is a treat to thumb through.
