Festival News: Fleetwood Mac dismiss Glastonbury ‘Rumours’

And so it seems, Fleetwood Mac will not be playing at Glastonbury despite endless rumours (all puns intended). The band have announced new US tour dates that coincide with this year’s festival, making it unlikely that they will make an appearance on the Pyramid Stage.

The rock legends will be playing in Washington and Oregon on the Saturday (29th June) and Sunday (June 30th) respectively; the same dates that strong rumours were circulating about a Glastonbury return. Though there is still a slight chance that the band may still perform on the Friday night of the festival, they have ruled themselves out of performing later in the weekend.

Steve Nicks may well have hinted at a performance at the festival, telling NME “I’d love to do it!”, but UK fans need not worry, the band have said they will definitely be coming to the UK on their forthcoming world tour.
