Gluttons of Leeds, heed the call: a challenge has gone out to slay the mightiest burger on campus.
Sequestered in the dungeon of Old Bar, the beast straddles an entire plate and features a heart of thick, half-pound beef patty and two sausages. The burger sits adorned with a glistening crown of onion rings, bacon and hash browns, draped in a mantle of barbecue sauce and cheese.
Part-time assistant manager and full-time beastmaster Tom Smith has summoned all those who think themselves worthy of the battle to assemble and face the meaty monster.
Speaking last week, Smith announced: “Despite six separate attempts today alone – The Fat Cow Burger has yet to be defeated… I’m not saying the guys who’ve tried it are wimps, but maybe they should stick to the chicken burgers.”
