The House party: in theory, a gloriously fun event peppered with alcohol, memories and reckless abandon, enjoyed by all of your closest friends. In practicality, a messy night of regret consisting of trashed items, vomit and other bodily fluids shared by half of the student population of Leeds. It seems hard to understand why anyone with their wits about them would host a house party, but, like every other decision that we students make day in and day out; spontaneity and wildness often prevail over common sense and rationalism – and the chaos is so worth it in the end.
