Thursday 11th October was an important date on the local fashion calendar and proved to be a very exciting day for the many fashionistas of Leeds. It was the day that for months had been highly anticipated and oh-so long awaited… Yes, the grand opening of the Topshop Trinity Leeds store had arrived. Well, was it worth the wait? Without a doubt. Countless shoppers waited in the queue before making their way into the three-storey store (that’s right, three storeys!). Conveniently located along Briggate’s high street, the magnificent display exceeded everyone’s expectations. Spread across 31, 000 sq ft, the new Topshop Leeds is what can only be described as a fashion paradise. From top to bottom, the store glistened with an array of unique decor themes. Black stage lights lined the ceilings to showcase the latest trends, whilst downstairs, a camouflage print design provided the backdrop for one wall – complementing the current military trend. In contrast, the Shoes section resembled a pretty independent boutique, decorated in a pink and silver palette. Nothing failed to impress as every inch (or square foot we should say) was brimming with eccentric fashion statements. Making the store experience even better, the in-house DJ mixed up a grungy playlist, enhancing the electric atmosphere. Moving upstairs, there’s an entire section devoted to beauty-junkies, with a huge selection of the Topshop Makeup collection- exhausted shoppers can rest their feet and enjoy a complimentary manicure or makeup treatment. Seems the fun doesn’t stop there— the pop-up photo booth makes for endless fun with friends, where you can -as Tyra would say- ‘smize’ for the camera.
Don’t worry guys, this isn’t a total boyfriend-shopping-nightmare, the whole of the top floor is comprised of Topman – of course you weren’t going to get left out! We didn’t think it was possible to spend the whole day shopping in just one store, (nor that much of our student loans, eek!) Topshop Trinity has made it far too easy. Head on down, trust us- you definitely won’t be disappointed.
