Leeds Raise & Give (RAG) are taking a naughtier approach to fundraising, kicking off this year’s events with their Burlesque themed Safe Sex Circus.

The event, which will be held at Warehouse in collaboration with Tequila, is will be a club night with a sexy twist. Students are being invited toturn up in burlesque costume or wearing as little as they deem appropriate. RAG told Leeds Student that guests will be welcome however naked.

President Laura Platt said: “All students will be welcome no matter what they wear – whether they are wearing saucy burlesque underwear, circus fancy dress, their best Calvin Kleins or what they would wear on a night out, we look forward to seeing them”.

The night will feature a number of DJs and risqué performers, as well as local sexual health experts offering free condoms and advice. The night is being held in aid of the Terrence Higgins Trust, a national charity that raises awareness of HIV and AIDS and has a drop in centre in Leeds.

The Safe Sex Circus will take place October 15. All the money raised from ticket sales will go directly to charity, with tickets available through the Warehouse website. The event is based on the infamous Safer Sex Ball at Exeter University which raises over £40,000 for charity each year andl is listed in the FHM Top 100 Things To Do Before You Die.

Tickets for the event can be bought for £5 from the RAG website.
