Festival goers at this summer’s Leeds festival will kick things off early with local label Dance to the Radio, as their stage will open on Thursday 23rd August.
The arena will open at 5pm and the following artists will be appearing:
Geordie trio Little Comets have boasted an ever-growing following since the release of their debut album ‘In Search Of…’; which has seen the band play to sell out audiences across the UK. Their performance at this year’s Leeds festival will soon follow the release of their second album ‘Life Is Elsewhere’.
Catching our attention back in 2010 with well received singles, Various Cruelties have this year released their self-titled debut album, making this summer the perfect time to showcase it live.
Scars On 45 may not be quite as popular in the UK as they are in the US, following a musical background appearance of one of their tracks on ‘CSI New York’, but the Bradford band are sure to impress an (almost) home crowd, given that Amazon have chosen their debut album as one of the top ten of 2012!
Leeds Rock ‘n’ Roll band China Rats have been given their fair share of radio play lately thanks to support from BBC DJ’s such as Huw Stephens and Tom Robinson. Think punk inspired 50’s pop/rock.
York four-piece Likely Lads have become a YouTube sensation, with their demos having been viewed over 400,000 times. The band holds huge promise and will certainly bring in even more fans with their performance at this year’s festival.
